This interactive workshop was designed to help professionals unlock the full potential of generative AI through effective prompt building. As the first course in the GenAI in Action series for LinkedIn, it equips participants with practical skills to structure prompts that yield accurate, relevant, and impactful results. Delivered as a 15-minute instructor-led session, the workshop combines live demonstration, hands-on practice, and peer discussion to reinforce foundational GenAI skills.
The course was meticulously designed with clear learning objectives:• Strengthen participants’ ability to write structured prompts that improve AI output. • Demonstrate how small adjustments in wording and framing can produce stronger, more reliable responses. • Reinforce key GenAI principles introduced in prior foundational videos through applied practice. The facilitator guide included a detailed script, timing breakdowns, and side-by-side slide references. This level of organization ensured consistency across multiple facilitators — in fact, several noted they were able to successfully deliver the session with minimal preparation, thanks to the thorough guidance provided.
The workshop emphasized active participation through a blend of live demos, guided practice, and group discussion. Learners were encouraged to test prompts in real time, compare results, and refine their approaches with peer and facilitator feedback. Interactive elements such as scenario-based exercises and collaborative reflection kept the session dynamic and ensured participants walked away with practical, hands-on experience they could immediately apply to their roles.
The session leveraged a modern virtual training toolkit:• AI demonstration tools (live GenAI prompt building and response testing). • Slide deck with structured examples of strong vs. weak prompts. • Facilitator Guide with presenter notes, timing, and audience engagement cues. The integration of AI voiceover, dynamic visuals, and real-time demo prompts provided a clear bridge between theory and application.
Participants reported immediate improvements in their ability to craft effective prompts, with stronger outputs in their day-to-day GenAI use cases. The workshop not only reinforced core learning, but also provided a reusable framework participants could apply in future AI interactions. Early adoption feedback confirmed that structured prompt writing is a key differentiator in leveraging AI for productivity, collaboration, and problem-solving.
To maximize impact and scalability, the course was supported with:• A Facilitator Guide (scripts, slides, timing, engagement notes). • A Prompt Building Framework handout for learners to continue practicing after the session. • Visual assets and examples aligned with LinkedIn’s brand and learning standards. These resources ensured the session could be delivered consistently, replicated across regions, and serve as a foundational block for subsequent GenAI workshops.
